Erica Ilton, Nutritionist

Erica IltonErica Ilton is a nutritionist specializing in pediatric and adult gastrointestinal disorders such as Crohn’s and colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease, and gastroesophageal reflux, as well as overweight and underweight (including failure to thrive), cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, fatty liver, polycystic ovary syndrome, food allergies, and osteoporosis. She also offers dietary supplement guidance, and nutrition counseling for disease prevention and general healthy eating.

Prior to opening her own practice, Erica was a senior nutritionist at Joy Bauer Nutrition, and a producer for the Leonard Lopate Show on WNYC New York Public Radio, and NPR’s Science Friday.

In addition to her work as a nutrition counselor, Erica writes about health and nutrition for major U.S. publications. She was also Director of Nutrition Research for Food Cures, by Joy Bauer, and editor of the fourth edition of The Complete Idiots Guide to Total Nutrition.

Erica graduated from Brown University, and studied clinical nutrition and nutrition education at Teachers College-Columbia University.
