IBDkids ... for Kids!

The Children’s IBD Center at Mount Sinai has programs for children and teens to participate in and opportunities to help others.
Join IBDChat, a group held regularly at the time of the Center lecture series, and meet other kids with IBD. This program is run by the Center’s licensed clinical social worker and Yuki Takahashi, Child Life Specialist. At IBDChat you have the opportunity to meet other kids with IBD, talk about topics of interest to the group, meet young adults who have IBD themselves and participate in an individual or group art project or activity. In the past activities have included art projects, cooking, and television production for KidZone TV, an interactive TV service for patients admitted to the hospital.
Kids 4 Kids is a program that encourages kids with IBD and their siblings and friends to help other kids who are hospitalized by creating kits in a bag to help hospitalized children and teens. Download the Kids 4 Kids project flyer.
If you enjoy creative writing, poetry or art, send us your work and we will work with you to publish it in our newsletters or on the website.
If you are interested in any of these programs, please contact Bambi Fisher, LCSW, at The Children’s IBD Center at Mount Sinai by emailing childrenibd@mssm.edu
