Q. Can I come to lectures even if my child is not followed at Mount Sinai?
A. Yes, all families are welcome to attend the educational events offered by the Center.

Q. Can my child come to the Center if he/she has a doctor elsewhere?
A. Yes, any child can be seen for a second opinion at the Center.

Q. What can I do if my insurance does not cover visits?
A. If you would like to be seen at the Center, call our office to discuss scheduling options.

Q. What should I bring with me for my first visit?
A. Your child’s immunization record and growth curve (both of these you can get from your pediatrician) and copies of any medical records you have.

Q. Where can I park if I drive to Mount Sinai?
A. In addition to metered street parking in the neighborhood there are parking garages on East 99th Street between Madision Avenue and Park Avenue and on East 97th Street between Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue.

Q. Can I see a nutritionist at the Center?
A. Our nutritionist, Erica Ilton, is at the Children’s IBD Center on the first Tuesday of each month from 1pm to 2 pm, available for informal exchanges and group question and answer sessions. She also conducts online group video chats on nutrition once a month (see our Upcoming Events page).  Individual nutrition sessions are available by appointment.  Erica can be contacted directly at 347-809-6789 or erica.ilton@mountsinai.org.
