Ina Brudnick Award

Eligible Recipients: Deserving high school graduate, 24 years of age or younger, who intends to pursue a higher education. The student must have undergone ostomy surgery and/or have had Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis.
Deadline: Not published. In past years the deadline was August 1st.

Intense Intestines Scholarship
Funding Source: Intense Intestines Foundation
Amount: Past scholarships were for $2,500 and $1,000
Eligible Recipients: 18-25 year old U.S. Citizens intending to pursue an associates, undergraduate or graduate degree. The student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and must be diagnosed with moderate to severe Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis.
Deadline: October 31, 2014 was the deadline for the most recent round of scholarships.

Scholarship for Survivors
Funding Source: The Patient Advocate Foundation
Amount: twelve $3,000 scholarships each year
Eligible Recipients: Individuals under the age of 25 diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as other illnesses, within the last five years. Applicants must be pursuing a higher education degree.
Deadline: Application submission for the 2014 – 2015 academic year is closed (the deadline was March 14, 2014). Visit their site (link below) in November 2014 for updated information on the 2015 – 2016 academic year.
